Cedar-Planked Salmon with Honey Mustard


wild salmon

salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste

honey mustard (recipe below)

cedar plank

1. Soak cedar plank for at least 30 minutes and up to 24 hours.

2. Place salmon on plank and sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

3. Make honey mustard and brush half of it on salmon.

4. Place in med-high heat grill for 25 minutes, brushing the rest of the sauce on the salmon halfway through cooking time.

Honey Mustard


1/2 cup dijon mustard

1/2 cup honey

1 tblsp olive oil

1 tblsp lemon juice

Just whisk it all together! You can add a clove of minced garlic to it too, if you love garlic the way I do.  This makes  a great salad dressing as well.
